Our second responsibility is to promote fun and excitement about Alabama academics and athletics.”
Alabama radio play-by-play announcer Chris Stewart was the keynote speaker. Stewart thanked the Dallas-Wilcox Bama Club, the scholarship recipients and their parents.
“I want the Dallas-Wilcox Bama to know how much they are appreciated,” Stewart said. “I’m grateful you are doing this for the kids to continue their education at the University of Alabama. The University of Alabama is a special place.”
Leet said he’s proud of the Dallas-Wilcox Club starting with an initial endowment fund of $10,000 in 1987 to a current endowment market fund value of over $1.1 million.
