WAYNESBORO – Applications for 2026 scholarships from WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary are now available.
Eligible students include high school seniors, employees of WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital enrolled in a nursing curriculum, and any student enrolled in an accredited program leading to a certificate or certification as a phlebotomist, medical laboratory technician or medical technologist.
The Health Career Scholarship ($30,000 was awarded to five students in 2025) assists 2026 graduating seniors in the Waynesboro Area and Greencastle-Antrim school districts (including those that are home-school and virtual school students and students enrolled at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center), and those involved with the Student Volunteer program at WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital during their high school years (not living in the above school districts) with the intent of pursuing a career in the human health career field.
The guidance offices of both high schools and the technology center will have information and application packets available for interested students. Information can also be found on the websites of all three schools. The scholarship(s) will be paid directly to the recipient’s college/university, split between the fall and spring semesters of their freshman year.
The Pearle E. Warren Nursing Scholarship ($5,000 was awarded to one student in 2025) is for full- or part-time employees of WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital and must be enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or school of nursing following a nursing or midwifery nursing curriculum, not graduating before December 2026. The scholarship(s) will be paid directly to the recipient’s college or university.
The Laboratory Memorial Scholarship is for any student already enrolled at any two- or four-year college seeking a certificate as a phlebotomist, medical laboratory technician, or medical technologist not graduating before December 2026. The scholarship award may be used for: tuition, textbooks, lab fees, child-care and/or travel expenses to and from the college and will be paid directly to the student.
Scholarship applications are available in the Volunteer Auxiliary Office at WellSpan
