TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Topeka High School senior A’myah Wallace-Morton has been named this week’s Good Kid at Ten for her artistic achievements and positive impact on her school community.
Wallace-Morton received a $1,000 scholarship this summer for her artwork. This fall, she won another scholarship during Washburn University’s High School Art Day.
The senior has helped establish the new Envista Credit Union branch inside Topeka High School. Her classmates voted her the most artistic girl in the senior class.
Teachers and staff describe Wallace-Morton as extremely talented with a consistently positive attitude. They said she maintains a smile and regularly helps classmates while boosting their spirits.
Wallace-Morton has also been assisting a downtown Topeka business with storefront window art.
