South Tahoe Now
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Once again, the amazing South Shore community came together to put on the annual South Tahoe High School (STHS) Scholarship Fair for seniors. For three hours, the STHS Library was filled with 23 organizations and hundreds of seniors, all learning about the different scholarships in the community and county for our graduating seniors pursuing higher education next year. Last year, the amazing scholarship donors gave back over $300,000 to graduating seniors, and things are on track to repeat that process for the 2026 seniors.
Thank you to counselors Kim Ilvento and Robyn Rasmussen for their tireless energy for the seniors and these scholarships, and special thanks to the following organizations that attended and engaged with our students:

Organizers also gave out 19 gift cards to 19 lucky seniors, thanks to the El Dorado Community Foundation, Ernie’s Coffee Shop, Soroptimist of SLT, Kiwanis of LT, and Sierra-At-Tahoe.

The deadline for scholarship application submission is Feb. 1, 2026. Lastly, be sure to join Ms. Ilvento during many flexes as well as the Tahoe Learning Haven’s forums in January (www.tahoelearninghaven.org) for scholarship application assistance and information.
