BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – For the 2023-24 school year, Brookville Equipment offered a scholarship to encourage students of Brookville Area High School to take an interest in Engineering.
The student must be accepted into a Bachelor’s Program for Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related Engineering Degrees at an accredited University.
The Brookville Equipment Corporation Scholarship Fund awarded one student at Brookville Area High School with a scholarship of $5,000. The student will receive $2,500 for each semester. The student must maintain a 3.0 GPA to receive the winter payment. The awardee of this scholarship may be considered for an annual scholarship if they remain enrolled in one of the applicable Engineering programs, maintain a GPA of 3.0, and participate in a paid summer internship with Brookville Equipment each summer between academic years.
Brady Means was selected as the scholarship recipient for the 2023-24 school year.
Brady excelled during his time at Brookville High School, currently holding a 4.0 GPA and being involved in Cross Country, Indoor Track & Field, and Outdoor Track & Field. He is attending Penn State DuBois this fall for their 2+2 Engineering program to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with plans of moving to Penn State Behrend to complete his Engineering degree. Brady was highlighted as a Brookville Equipment Corporation Student of the Month in February of 2023.
