PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Going to college is expensive, but a group of women decided to help by raising money to award scholarships to other women and girls so they can receive a degree. And that is Something Good!
Earlier this month, the women of Quail Creek held an awards ceremony to hand out nearly three dozen scholarships. The organization is part of the Quail Creek Robson Resort Community, south of the Valley.
The organization’s mission is to empower women through education and opportunity. In total, the group awarded over $100,000 in scholarship money to not just girls graduating from high school, but also to some moms who are going back to school!
Scholarship recipients were selected through a rigorous screening process. From aspiring auto mechanics to future entrepreneurs, each recipient embodies the spirit of resilience and ambition. Now, they can achieve their dreams by furthering their education with financial support from the scholarships.
