Seven local high school “top science students” each received a $2,000 scholarship from Physicians’ Health Services to be used for attending an accredited university.
Physicians’ Health Services is a local physician organization representing doctors in Whitfield and Murray counties. Since 2013 it has awarded these scholarships as a means to invest in the community’s future and support the patient/doctor relationship.
This year’s scholarship recipients are:
— Christian Heritage School: Olivia Beavers (presented by the counselors at Christian Heritage School).
— Coahulla Creek High School: Morgan “Alyssa” Cucksee (presented by Dr. Eric Jensen).
— Dalton High School: Alex Rojas (presented by Dr. Michael Wilson).
— Murray County High School: Natalie Garrett (presented by the counselors at Murray County High School).
— North Murray High School: Rylee Wimpey (presented by Dr. Dale N. Reed).
— Northwest Whitfield High School: Andy Nguyen (presented by Dr. Joseph Point du Jour).
— Southeast Whitfield High School: Kaylee Robertson (presented by Dr. Rajiv Verma).
