WINONA, Minn. (WXOW) – One of the largest gifts to the college is slated to help begin a scholarship fund for students attending Minnesota State College Southeast in Winona. 
The college announced the $217,000 gift on Thursday. 
The anonymous donor specified the gift be used to establish a scholarship fund for Southeast students who are working towards a degree or diploma from one of the college’s programs on the Winona campus. 
Recipients must live in Winona County. 
“We are thrilled to accept this amazing gift,” said Jennifer Hawkins, Executive Director of the Southeast Foundation in a statement. “We are grateful for donors like this, who value Minnesota State College Southeast and recognize the importance of supporting our students.”
“A gift like this will make an impact on students at Southeast for generations to come,” she said. “On behalf of our students, we want to express our gratitude for such profound generosity. We are truly thankful.”
