The Alfred E. Beach High School Athletic Hall of Fame awarded three scholarships to student-athletes during the Senior Awards Night in the school’s auditorium.
The Ronald Booker Female Athlete Award was presented to Jermia Bey, whose outstanding athletic achievements included basketball, cross-country and track & field. Chandler Reid was the recipient of the Carl Middleton Male Athlete Award. Chandler was a standout in basketball, football and track & field. The third award recipient was Aaron Walker, II, who received the Dr. Lester B. Johnson, Jr. Ph.D. Academic Athlete Award. Aaron participated in basketball, track & field and cross country, while also maintaining a 3.5 grade point average.
Each student received a plaque and a $500.00 scholarship to be used at the college/ university of their choice.
