Nearly two dozen Minnesota students studying automotive service and collision repair received $500 or $1,000 for the 2025-26 academic year.
The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Minnesota (AASP-MN) has awarded a total of $19,000 in scholarships to 23 students studying automotive service and collision repair for the 2025–26 academic year.
Scholarship amounts of $500 or $1,000 were granted to students enrolled in technical college and high school programs across Minnesota. The funds aim to support tuition and tool expenses and were made possible through donations from the Minnesota State I-CAR Committee and proceeds from AASP-MN’s Annual Race for Automotive Education fundraiser.
A total of 34 students from 15 schools applied for the scholarships. Applications were evaluated by a committee of industry professionals, who considered academic achievement, financial need, education and career goals, and letters of recommendation.
“The scholarship awards are the centerpiece of AASP-MN’s Automotive Education Fund,” the organization stated in a press release. “The fund was established to provide financial resources to support automotive students, enhance automotive programs and raise awareness of career opportunities in the independent automotive service industry.”
