The Orange Chapter of the American Association of University Women awarded two scholarships to female graduating seniors. The local chapter is 75 years old and for many years has helped young women pursue their college educations. This year’s recipients are Lauren Corrao from Little Cypress-Mauriceville, and DeMarea Warren from West Orange-Stark. Both will be majoring in nursing. Members of the scholarship committee with Lauren are, left to right, Linda Womack, Carolyn Hillsten, Corrao, Shirley Marshall, and Sue Denosowicz. Demarea is in the center with her mother, Aisha Warren on the left, and AAUW member Linda Womack on the right.
