TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Ability Center announced Monday it is launching a scholarship program to help students with disabilities succeed.
Students who meet eligibility requirements, shown below, can apply now for the chance to receive up to $5,000 to further their education for college, trade schools, or certification programs. The application window is open through March 2, 2025.
A spokesperson for the Ability Center said the scholarship program is funded through the organization’s Auxiliary group, comprised of people who work to raise money and increase awareness of the needs of people with disabilities.
“The scholarship is designed to help students with disabilities overcome financial barriers that can stand in the way of their academic dreams,” Maggie Dreier, Director of Independent Living said in a statement. “By providing these funds, we aim to support the next generation of professionals, skilled workers, and leaders who will shape our future.”
Interested students can apply through March 2 if they meet the following eligibility requirements:
