Bellevue-headquartered Acumatica and the LPGA Foundation have announced the launch of a collaboration to provide scholarships for young women in golf who wish to pursue a higher education in the STEM field.
The scholarship will go to female high schoolers in their senior year, with both organizations looking to encourage the next generation of women in science, technology, engineering, and math fields.
“We’re proud to partner with the LPGA Foundation to support educational pathways for women in STEM,” Martha-Lucia Groulx, chief people officer at Acumatica, said in a release. “We hope to inspire and empower the next generation of women leaders to seize new opportunities and make a lasting impact. This scholarship embodies our commitment to driving meaningful change in business and the communities we serve.”
The organizations will provide the first two awards of $10,000 in the spring of 2025 and another award of $10,000 each to two more students in the spring of 2027. Each scholarship will be distributed as $5,000 per academic year, according to the release. Winners from 2025 are welcome to reapply for the scholarship in 2027.
Applications are now open for 2025; interested applicants can check their eligibility for the award here. The deadline to apply is Jan. 31.
“Since its founding, the LPGA Foundation has impacted more than 1 million lives through its various programs and scholarship and financial assistance programs,” Nancy Henderson, president of the LPGA Foundation, said in the release. “We’re excited to work with Acumatica because the company shares our vision of advancing educational and leadership opportunities for women.”
