AHFA Solution Partners awards $35,000 in scholarships

HIGH POINT – The Solution Partners division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance has named 12 recipients for this year’s education scholarships.
Winners of $35,000 awarded this year are all children of home furnishings industry workers, employed at AHFA member companies.
This year the Solution Partners Scholarship Fund awarded 12 scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year: six based on academic merit and financial need, and six based on academic merit alone.
Receiving $2,500 scholarships are:
Two applicants received perfect scores on their applications and were each awarded $5,000 scholarships: Karen Minton, daughter of Rebecca Minton, Bluewater Logistics Group, received an AHFA scholarship; and Britney Zulueta, daughter of Angel Zulueta, Huntington House, received the Bill Hauck Memorial Scholarship (funded by Deliveright Logistics).
The Solution Partners Scholarship Program is supported by an annual golf tournament first held in 1990. Since 2000, 165 students have received financial assistance from AHFA to help them attend a university, community college or technical school.
The 2025 tournament is slated for Sept. 24 at Lake Hickory Country Club’s Catawba Springs Course in Hickory, N.C. All proceeds will go to the Solution Partners Education Fund. Team registration and sponsorships are available. Contact Gene Clark for more information.
