Its among the most prestigious scholarships in Canada

Almaguin Highlands Secondary School is celebrating a significant achievement, as Grade 12 student Keith Rubin has been awarded a $120,000 Schulich Leader Scholarship for engineering. The scholarship is among the most prestigious in Canada for students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Rubin was selected for his outstanding academic performance, leadership, and commitment to peer mentorship. He will begin his studies at Western this fall.
School officials say Rubin is the first AHSS student to receive the scholarship, and praised his positive influence within the school community.
