The Altrusa International Foundation of Door County has awarded scholarships to three recipients from Door County who are dedicating their careers to helping others – Madeline Schultz, Sydney Tlahac and Brynn Orthober. The women will receive $750 each semester for up to two semesters.
Schultz is studying psychology at Southern New Hampshire University and plans to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.
Tlahac is pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Grand Canyon University. She also serves as the director of emotional wellness at the Boys and Girls Club of Door County, supporting local children and families.
Orthober is enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the Psychology Master’s and Educational Specialist program. She is currently teaching special education in the Sturgeon Bay School District.
