LA CROSSE (WKBT) — The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse hosted its 29th annual 5k Turkey Trot Fun Run and Walk on Saturday.
Proceeds from the event will support student scholarships and development.
The event featured a Junior Gobbler Dash, a half-mile race, and a half-mile walk, followed by a 5k run or walk.
The Student Coordinator said the event is a great way to unite the community.
“This race is not only a race. It’s an opportunity for the community to come out and promote healthy lifestyles with community and campus, getting the students together and then supporting a noble cause,” said Samantha Wendt, Student Coordinator, Marketing Events at UWL.
Attendees could also participate in a costume contest and a coloring contest.
