Thirty teams, plus some individual shooters, competed in the Fifth Annual Sporting Clays Shoot this past weekend.
Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships and area youth.
Scholarship applications are due this week, and the money raised will go toward the scholarships to seniors from Freestone, Limestone, and Leon Counties.
This year’s winners include the following:
42 Tournament winners: Larry McCeig and Danny Pool
Youth Make or Break: Brock York
This was Brock’s second year in a row to win.
Adult Make or Break: Jet Tacker
Longbird: Trey Musgrove
The long bird was a cash pot. Trey donated the majority of his winnings back to the foundation.
Men’s High Point: Preston Kindle
Women’s High Point: Kynlee Laquay
Youth Champion Team: Cane Loviette, Logan Williams, Landon Morrison, Will Zachary (Sponsored by Loviette Pest Control)
Youth Reserve Team: Heston Brooke, Wyatt Moore, Jace Long, Trey Musgrove (Sponsored by Normangee State Bank)
Second and first place youth teams were Freestone County kids.

Reserve Team: Curtis Jones, Shawn Hartness, Don Brown, Toby Jones (Sponsored by CRJ)
Thanks to the local Cub Scouts who volunteered under the tent and cleaned the whole course after the shoot.
