The WAAW Foundation has officially opened applications for the 2025/2026 Scholarship Program, an initiative that empowers young African women pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) degrees across Africa.
This annual scholarship supports talented, financially disadvantaged women who are passionate about using STEM to drive innovation and positive change in their communities.
Each selected scholar receives a $500 grant and joins a dynamic pan-African network of young women who are learning, leading, and creating solutions for Africa’s future.

The Working to Advance STEM Education for African Women (WAAW) Foundation is dedicated to increasing the representation of African women in STEM fields. Through scholarships, leadership training, and community outreach, the Foundation provides opportunities for young women to pursue higher education and develop as leaders and problem-solvers.
The WAAW Foundation Scholarship enables female undergraduates in Africa to focus on their academic goals without the burden of financial stress.
