Below is a list of scholarships, bursaries, and awards that are open to International students, including both entrance and in-program awards. Also indicated on each card below is the value of the award and the maximum duration of the award.

A.S. Mowat Prize
Deadline: April 1
Value: $1,500
Scholarship type: In-program
Degree level: All master’s
Available to: Canadian and international students

Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship
Value: $40,000 per year for up to two years
Scholarship type: Entrance or in-program
Degree level: Thesis-based master’s or doctoral
Available to: Iranian students (international students will also be considered)
Renewable: Yes

Chinese Scholarship Council – Ph.D. scholarship
Deadline: March of each year
Value: Tuition, airfare, and living allowance for up to 4 years
Scholarship type: Entrance
Degree level: Doctoral
Available to: International students

Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship – Master’s
Value: $10,000 per year for up to two years
Scholarship type: Entrance
Degree level: Thesis-based master’s
Available to: Canadian or international students
