Since 1917 Lions Clubs have been committed to working in their communities to embody the motto, “We serve”. Lions are dedicated to improving the world and their communities through community service. To this end, the Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club Scholarship is targeted to graduating seniors who show a potential of furthering their education and who exhibit a commitment to serving others. Community service and an essay discussing community service in their lives is a large part of the qualification for the award. Therefore, the club is pleased to announce the following winners for the 2025 scholarships: Dunkirk – Riles Smith Mallon; Fredonia – Jillian Klemann; and Silver Creek – Adeline Richardson.
The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club invites next year’s Class of 2026 students from Brocton, Dunkirk, Forestville, Fredonia, and Silver Creek districts to apply for the scholarship. Guidance departments of the schools will have the specific information in the spring of 2026.
