Board members of the Russell County 4-H Development Fund have awarded four $1,000 scholarships to area high school seniors.
Recipients include Hailey Gier, Teagan Pfeifer and Kelvie Reeves from Russell Junior-Senior High School and Christian Miller from Hays High School/Westview.
Gier plans to attend Kansas State University in Manhattan in the Milling Science and Management program. Pfeifer is going to Pittsburg State University for their Automotive Technology program. Reeves will go to Fort Hays State University and be part of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Miller plans to go to Barton Community College for the Business program.
Members of the Russell County 4-H Development Fund said these very deserving recipients, along with other active 4-H members who have received event scholarships during this 4-H year, have worked hard in their 4-H, scholastic and personal endeavors, and are continuing their education to make the best better. The board congratulates them on their achievements.
The Russell County 4-H Development Fund is an organization whose mission is to support 4-H programs, 4-H members and 4-H alumni.
