Cal State Fullerton students can apply for a record number of Associated Students Inc. scholarships this year, thanks to an additional $105,000 from the ASI Student Wellness Initiative. The funding allows ASI to expand its support for students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership and involvement on campus and in the community.
In fall, 130 students will receive awards: 85 scholarships of $1,000 each and 45 Titan Shops credits of $250. Additional scholarships will be available in spring. Scholarships are open to students of all majors who have completed at least one semester at CSUF. Applications are due Oct. 12.
“Costs in general are increasing all across the board,” said ASI Vice President Juan Salguero. “Access to scholarships is one way to mitigate those effects. Students can benefit not only from the many services ASI offers, but also from its scholarships.”
