On Wednesday, February 26, at 7 pm, the Astoria/LIC Kiwanis held its second meeting of the year. Scholarships for local high school students who have done community service will be given out in May. Also discussed was the upcoming Police and Firemen Awards in June. Event Chairman Tony Meloni explained the selection process.
