Mantavius Presley is a 17-year-old who has been accepted to more than 60 universities in Georgia. The student has also received over $1 million in scholarships.
In Georgia, Mantavius Presley is a student like no other. After studying at Douglas County High School, the 17-year-old applied to numerous universities on August 1, 2024. He applied to as many schools as he could, as soon as he had the time.
“When I was a kid, I always said I’d go to college because my family members always told me how much they loved their college life and how much it shaped them,” he said in an interview with Good Morning America.

Mantavius Presley would like to study medicine and become an anesthesiologist. To this end, he has applied to several universities, including Alabama State University, Morehouse College, Xavier University of Louisiana, Howard University and Mercer University.
“I have a passion for helping others, lending a hand when needed. My biggest goal in life is to motivate people and help others because you never know what someone is going through, and you can always help someone with a simple word of inspiration, a smile or even a hug,” he confided.
Last October, the student received his first admission to the University of Alabama. A few months later, he discovered that he had been admitted to 61 universities and had landed more than $1.1 million in scholarships.
“It’s a symbol of years of perseverance, passion and determination. They call him the million-dollar man. He spent four years excelling in the classroom, taking on leadership roles, serving others. Whether it was setting an example for his peers or throwing himself wholeheartedly into academic challenges, his excellence always shone through,” Kenja Parks, his high school principal, proudly asserted, according to remarks relayed by ABC.

Proud of his achievements, the young man wants to tell other students that they should enjoy their high school years, and that grades don’t define a person’s potential or success. Mantavius Presley is not the only student to have distinguished himself in this way. There’s also the 18-year-old who was accepted to 231 different universities and won $15 million in scholarships, and the 16-year-old who was accepted to 185 faculties.
