The scholarships aim to empower the next generation of professionals in these critical industries.
The Aureon STEM Scholarship, established in 2003, is targeted at students from rural Iowa communities served by Iowa Telecommunications Company (ITC) owners. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.33, reside in an ITC-served area, and be accepted into an Iowa-based accredited institution. For the 2025 cycle, six top applicants will receive a share of $10,000.
The Aureon Scholarship for Technology Students is intended for high school juniors and seniors in metro areas served directly by Aureon, including cities such as Des Moines, West Des Moines, and Davenport.
To qualify, applicants must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher, live in eligible communities, and plan to attend an Iowa-based institution. The program offers a total of $5,000 in awards.
Carey Stover, Chief Experience Officer of Aureon highlighted the potential impact of the scholarships:
“As a technology-driven company, Aureon is dedicated to supporting the next generation of STEM and technology leaders. These scholarships help empower Iowa’s youth to make impactful contributions to their communities and to fields critical for innovation and growth.”
