Auro Hotels co-founder H.P. Rama has launched The Rama Legacy Scholarship, benefitting the children of Auro Hotels employees. The business announced the $2 million scholarship initiative June 16.
The scholarship was formed through Community Foundation of Greenville. Several students received scholarships through the program this year, according to a news release from the company.
The Greenville-based hospitality-management business previously established two other scholarships: the Rama Scholarship for the American Dream through the American Hotel and Lodging Association, and Rama Memorial Scholarship Fund, which benefits children of the city of Greenville’s fire department. Rama also founded Indian learning institution Auro University in 2011.
