(Aurora, Ind.) – The Aurora Lions Club has awarded scholarships to eight South Dearborn High School graduates. 
This year's scholars are Luka Jones, Zoey Heizer, Lakota Vincent, Emily Steigerwald, Callie Davidson, Olivia McClane, Sophia Ferguson, Libby Bimrose and Cory Lee. 
Altogether, the scholarships totaled $7,000. 
Since 1982, the Aurora Lions Club has awarded over $300,000 to South Dearborn High School seniors. 
The State of Indiana eliminated funding for RVR’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program.
Recognition of Indiana's work includes historic literacy investments and Indiana GPS dashboard.
Eagle Country 99.3 will broadcast live from the event.
Summer fun is winding down.
The project is scheduled to be completed this fall.
