The Glen W. Eyler American Legion Auxiliary Unit 282 of Woodsboro presented scholarships to local students at their June 2025 meeting. The Auxiliary offers scholarships to high school seniors and college students every spring. This year the Auxiliary was able to award ten lucky students with money to use for their college education. Pictured, from left, are Scholarship Committee member Maria Beyer; Don Beyer, accepting for his granddaughter Mercedes Todd; Scholarship Committee member Peggy Esworthy; Valarie Pearce, accepting for her granddaughter Raleigh Ensor; Scholarship Committee member Stephanie McFadden; Nick Stevens, accepting for his grandson Joshua Stevens; and scholarship recipients Emma Magers, Hannah Duarte and Hailey Putman. Scholarship recipients not in attendance were Caleb Miley, Garrison Albrecht, Clayton Maticic and Makala Harden.
