These student awards (scholarships and grants) recognize academic excellence and may also consider financial need, community involvement, leadership, creativity and other qualities.

Students are automatically considered for a variety of admission awards when they apply to the Faculty of Arts & Science, while other awards require students to complete a separate application or awards profile. For general information about admission award policies and processes, visit the scholarship and awards frequently asked questions. 
Offered upon admission to selected outstanding international students on the basis of merit. Financial need may be considered. Students are automatically considered for this award. The value of the award is equal to the cost of international tuition, including tuition fees, incidental fees and UHIP fees for four consecutive years, or until degree completion, whichever comes first. Residence fees are not included under this award.
This award is for four consecutive academic years (Fall/Winter terms) and the total award value is indicated on your JOIN U of T portal. 
This award is not tenable with any other admission award offered by the University of Toronto and supersedes any other previously awarded scholarships received with your admission to the Faculty of Arts & Science. Receipt of this award will not affect your application to the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship if you are still under consideration. Should you be selected as a recipient of the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship at a later time, this award will be null and void.

Award renewal is based on your academic performance and compliance with the Terms & Conditions as outlined above following your first, second and third year of study (consecutive). The renewal will be based on your final grades and you will receive an email notifying you of your renewal eligibility in the following Summer term. While renewal is not tied to a specific minimum grade point average, we expect that your high academic achievement will continue and that you remain “in good standing” as defined by the Faculty of Arts & Science. The award may be withdrawn due to unsatisfactory academic performance. Please consult with your College Registrar’s Office if you have any questions or concerns regarding your academic progress and ability to meet the Terms & Conditions of this award.
The annual award value will be applied to your student account in two installments after your full-time registration in an eligible program is confirmed. The first installment will be made in November and the second installment will be made in February. This scholarship is eligible for a tuition fee deferral (registration without payment) on the basis of Undergraduate Awards. For more information, please visit the Student Accounts Website.
Should you complete your degree in less than eight consecutive Fall/Winter terms, the award payment will be applied to your student account up to and including your final Fall term of fourth year, provided you meet all the award Terms & Conditions outlined above and are enrolled in a minimum of 1.5 FCE. If you are enrolled in less than 1.5 FCE, you will not be eligible to receive the award. Should you complete your degree within your first, second, or third year of study, you would not be eligible for further award renewals.  
You are required to inform the Office of the Faculty Registrar, Arts & Science before dropping below full-time status, withdrawing from your studies or if there is a change in your legal or fee paying status. Students who withdraw, substantially reduce their course-load or have a change to their legal or fee paying status during the academic year may be required to repay all or part of their award. An exception is made for students registered with Accessibility Services with a reduced course load accommodation.  
Recipients of this award who are participating in the Arts & Science Internship Program (ASIP) are eligible for a scholarship deferral during their work term period. To be eligible for a scholarship deferral, students must meet the Terms & Conditions of the award at the time of their deferral request and must continue to meet the Terms & Conditions upon their immediate return to studies. While the scholarship is deferred, students are responsible for any fees incurred. Full conditions on award deferrals are outlined below: 
Students with a Fall restart must meet all Terms & Conditions, including full-time registration status and enrolment in a minimum of 3.0 FCE. The full renewal payment will be disbursed upon confirmation of registration and compliance with the above Terms and Conditions, typically by mid-October.  
If students return to studies with a part-time status, they will no longer be eligible to receive their award. An exception is made for students registered with Accessibility Services with a reduced course load accommodation. 
The award will not exceed the total original offered value and will not exceed 8 terms of full-time study. 
If students do not meet the terms as outlined above upon return to studies, the scholarship will be cancelled in full. 
Recipients of this award who are participating in an outbound exchange through the Centre for International Experience (CIE) must meet the Terms & Conditions of the award at the time of their outbound exchange and must continue to meet the Terms & Conditions upon their immediate return to studies. Students are required to maintain full-time registration during their outbound exchange.  Full conditions on renewal eligibility requirements are outlined below:   
If you are participating in an outbound exchange program for one term (i.e., Fall term only or Winter term only), you will be required to earn a minimum of 1.5 FCE in transfer credits during your study abroad and 1.5 FCE during your study term at the Faculty of Arts & Science, University of Toronto. Award renewal eligibility will be assessed once the transfer credits have been assessed and recorded on ACORN. For information regarding transfer credits earned through Learning Abroad & Exchange Programs, please visit the Transfer Credit Team’s website. Please note, award renewals for outbound exchange students may be delayed as timelines are contingent upon the transfer credit process.  
If you are participating in an outbound exchange program for two consecutive terms (i.e., the Fall and Winter terms), you are required to maintain full-time registration and earn a minimum of 3.0 FCE in transfer credits during your study abroad. Awarded to domestic students (Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, Protected Persons or (Convention Refugees) entering the Physical & Mathematical Sciences admission category. The award supports and encourages well-rounded students who demonstrate a track record of community engagement, involvement in sports, culture and extracurricular activities, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership potential. Valued up to approximately $14,000 over four years of study. 
This award is for four consecutive academic years (Fall/Winter terms) and the total award value is indicated on your JOIN U of T portal. 
This award is not tenable with any other admission award offered by the University of Toronto. This means that the scholarship offer that is of higher value will replace the scholarship of lower value. The value of this award is based on the annual income earned from endowed funds and is estimated to be up to approximately $14,000 over four years of study. The annual award value will be confirmed in July at the time of renewal eligibility assessment. The estimated breakdown is as follows but may be subject to change: 
Year 1 – $2,000
Year 2 – $3,000
Year 3 – $4,000
Year 4 – $5,000

Offered to an undergraduate student for general proficiency upon admission to the Faculty of Arts & Science. The total award value is $5,500 over four years of study, with $2,500 awarded upon registration in first year and $1,000 awarded in the second, third and fourth years if the Terms and Conditions of the scholarship are met.

Students are automatically considered for this award, which is valued at up to $50,000 over four consecutive years, or until degree completion, whichever comes first (up to $20,000 in the first year and renewable for $10,000 in the second, third and fourth years).

This award is tenable with other University of Toronto admission awards, unless otherwise stated. An exception is the Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarship, the Arts & Science Global Scholarship, the International Student Admission Bursary and the University of Toronto International Scholar Award.

Should you complete your degree in less than eight consecutive Fall/Winter terms, the award payment will be applied to your student account up to and including your final Fall term of fourth year, provided you meet all the award Terms & Conditions outlined above and are enrolled in a minimum of 1.5 FCE. If you are enrolled in less than 1.5 FCE, you will not be eligible to receive the award. Should the annual award value exceed outstanding fees owing in your final term, the remaining value will not be disbursed. Should you complete your degree within your first, second, or third year of study, you would not be eligible for further award renewals.  
You are required to inform the Office of the Faculty Registrar, Arts & Science before dropping below full-time status, withdrawing from your studies or if there is a change in your legal or fee paying status. Students who withdraw, substantially reduce their course-load or have a change to their legal or fee paying status during the academic year may be required to repay all or part of their award. An exception is made for students registered with Accessibility Services with a reduced course load accommodation.  
Recipients of this award who are participating in the Arts & Science Internship Program (ASIP) are eligible for a scholarship deferral during their work term period. To be eligible for a scholarship deferral, students must meet the Terms & Conditions of the award at the time of their deferral request and must continue to meet the Terms & Conditions upon their immediate return to studies. While the scholarship is deferred, students are responsible for any fees incurred. Full conditions on award deferrals are outlined below: 
Students with a Fall re-start must meet all Terms & Conditions, including full-time registration status and enrolment in a minimum of 3.0 FCE. The full renewal payment will be disbursed upon confirmation of registration compliance with the above Terms and Conditions, typically by mid-October.  
The award will not exceed the total original offered value and will not exceed 8 terms of full-time study. 
If students do not meet the terms as outlined above upon return to studies, the scholarship will be cancelled in full. 
Recipients of this award who are participating in an outbound exchange through the Centre for International Experience (CIE) must meet the Terms & Conditions of the award at the time of their outbound exchange and must continue to meet the Terms & Conditions upon their immediate return to studies. Students are required to maintain full-time registration during their outbound exchange.  Full conditions on renewal eligibility requirements are outlined below:

The Dean’s Student Initiative Fund (DSIF) has been established to provide financial support for student initiatives that aspire to create dialogue and foster a greater sense of community through special events, lectures or other forms of community engagement.

The Undergraduate Research Fund fosters research experience at the undergraduate level by providing students with an opportunity to develop a research project of their own, for which there is no other available funding. The fund is open to all Arts & Science undergraduate students in good academic standing and no minimum GPA is required.
The Fund is to be used for research initiated by students, related to their degree, and supervised by a faculty member either through a regular course, an independent study, a research essay, or other academic project. The research must be completed within a year of funding or before graduation, whichever comes first. All students granted funding are required to submit a short summary of research findings.
The Undergraduate Research Fund is funded jointly by the Arts & Science Students’ Union (ASSU) and the Faculty of Arts & Science.

Students must be in their final year (graduating in spring or fall 2024) and have at least one year of significant volunteer leadership and high-impact service.
