Five local students win scholarships for acting with integrity
Better Business Bureau Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California (BBB) proudly awarded five scholarships to high school students for their winning essays on āThe Importance of Character and Ethics.ā Held annually, the contest encourages students to share a personal experience about doing the right thing when they face an ethical dilemma.
2025 Ethical Torch Essay Scholarship Winners:
This yearās first-place winner, Daniel Zhang of Canyon Crest Academy, shared a powerful lesson from the chessboard. In one pivotal match, he chose integrity over victory, proving that true leadership is rooted in values.
āI am truly honored to be named a BBB Ethical Torch Essay Scholarship winner. This recognition reminds me that achievement means little without integrity, and I plan to carry that lesson with me as I move forward,ā said Daniel Zhang.
