SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Get free food samples and drinks during Beast Feast, Centenary College’s scholarship fundraiser.
On April 26, the unique festival that focuses on off-the-menu culinary creations alongside classic southern favorites, Beast Feast, returns to Centenary College. The event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Jones-Rice Field at the college, 2911 Centenary Boulevard.
Every bite at the festival goes towards supporting student scholarships at Centenary College.
Centenary’s President, Dr. Christopher Holoman, will be firing up the grill to roast a big one, which is a Beast Feast tradition. Other food will be included, such as grilled pheasant, wild boar birria, and crawfish cornbread.
Traditional favorites will be available, including brisket, gumbo, and shrimp and grits. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available as well.
Additionally, the spicy-loving group Pepper Pals and artist Chang Liu will be providing ‘Lava’ noodles.
“This event is the perfect blend of what we value most—community, connection, and we add in a dash of friendly competition for good measure,” said Hannah Rachal-Hughes, director of alumni and family relations. “We’re thrilled to welcome alumni, families, and neighbors for an afternoon of great food and even better company, all for a great cause.”
A cook team will also compete for the ‘Best of Beast Feast’ title.
