LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The 2025 St. Mary’s County Common Scholarship Application is available for download at smcbeca.org (click on Application tab). The deadline for submission is Monday, March 3, 2025. BECA has added 14 new scholarships to this year’s application, thanks to both new offers from added providers and from existing providers who have expanded their offerings.
A total of 77 scholarship offers, many with multiple awards, are now available with an estimated total value of $300,000. All 2025 graduating high school seniors in St. Mary’s County are eligible to apply, and a few scholarship offers are available to returning college students.
Also, BECA will host the 12th Annual Scholarship Fair on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM). Meet the scholarship providers and learn more about the Common Scholarship Application. Workshops will be provided on completing the application and financial aid support. About BECA: The Business, Education and Community Alliance, Inc., known simply as BECA (pronounced beh-ka), is a local 501(c)3 educational charity organization founded in 1989 jointly by the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce and Superintendent of Schools.
