Berks County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for over 130 scholarship opportunities. The deadline to apply is Saturday, March 1. Many of the scholarships are for Berks County high school seniors, while others support non-traditional students and students already in higher education. Each scholarship has specific criteria, such as field of study, academic achievement, volunteer involvement, and/or financial need. A full list of available scholarships with their criteria and details can be found at bccf.link/scholarships.
To streamline the application process, the Community Foundation offers a universal application that matches applicants to scholarships for which they qualify. Applicants are encouraged to create an account using a personal email address and complete the application thoroughly. After submission, applicants will be directed to a personal dashboard, where they can view and complete any additional requirements for specific scholarships.
“Awarding scholarships is an impactful way to acknowledge students’ current achievements and potential while encouraging their future growth and success,” said Kim Sheffer, Lifelong Learning Program Officer.
The Community Foundation has awarded more than $11 million in scholarships to local students since its founding in 1994. Most of these scholarships were created by Berks County residents to support local students in continuing their education.

I am happy and proud to be a part of such a dedicated assembly of talent and purpose. Thank you for being a part of my efforts to promote theater and the arts in this region.
Fantastic work and thanks so much for the quick turnaround!  Always a pleasure to work with you and the rest of the BCTV team!
Thank you for always being receptive to my ideas. All of your efforts help me to help others and that is a blessing to me.
Thank you and your staff for all you do to accommodate so many different shows, personalities, etc.!  Can’t be easy, but we really do appreciate it.
I wanted to thank you again for the opportunity you have created for our kids.  This experience is more than the TV show.  Eight students who probably never would have talked to each other were excited to execute a plan. Know that you make a difference.
Wish my town had a channel like this, very cool idea to bring the community together and give people a platform.
Thanks for your commitment to communication far and wide, for your technical support, and tireless efforts to bring fresh programs to BCTV. Bravo!
