BEVERLY, MA — Two students and children of Beverly Liberty Lodge members were recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to help them continue their education in college next year.
The Chester H. Battis Scholarship Awards went to Olivia Lyle (psychology/criminal justice at Salem State University) and Jessica Simpson (criminal justice technologies at Durham Technical Community College).

Chester H. Battis was a long-time member of the lodge and an educator as well as principal of the Briscoe Middle School.
