Bowling Green High School students were asked to submit information on their college plans and the scholarships they received.
The seniors listed below provided information.
Luca Brininger will attend Washington University in St. Louis. He received an $80,000 renewable WashU Institutional Scholarship, a $1,000 one-time BG Schools Foundation Scholarship, and an $800 one-time Craig Barr Memorial Huntington Scholarship.
Ava Deering will attend Columbus College of Art and Design. She received a $22,000 merit scholarship from CCAD.
Drew Erekson will attend Bowling Green State University majoring in exercise science and pre-physical therapy. He received a renewable $6,000 University Freshman Academic Scholarship from BGSU and a $300 BGHS PTO Scholarship.
Nolan Feehan will attend Bowling Green State University majoring in business and marketing. He received a $5,000 BGSU academic scholarship renewable for four years.
Tara Hastings will attend Bowling Green State University. She received a full academic tuition scholarship under BGSU’s Sidney A. Ribeau President’s Leadership Academy; a $1,000 BGSU Alumni Legacy Scholarship; a $2,000 BG Kiwanis Joan Gordon Memorial Scholarship; a $1,000 Freedom Roofing and Siding Scholarship; a $1,000 Linda Snyder Memorial Scholarship; a $500 Goodwill “Pass It On” Scholarship; a $300 BGHS PTO Scholarship; and a $200 BGHS StuCrew Scholarship.
Carter Hoiles will attend Bowling Green State University. He received a renewable $5,000 University Freshmen Academic Scholarship and a renewable $3,000 Choose Ohio First Scholarship.
Jack Hover will attend Bowling Green State University. He was awarded the University Freshman Academic Scholarship ($8,000 renewable), Carolyn Ulsh Memorial Scholarship ($2,500 renewable), and Dick Mlinarik Memorial Scholarship ($500).
Brennan Howard will attend Bowling Green State University. He received a $9,500 BGSU Academic Scholarship, a $5,000 Ohio Governor’s Merit Scholarship, and a $1,000 Cheryl J. Dauterman Memorial Scholarship. All of these scholarships are renewable for four years, for a grand total of $62,000.
Shelby Janes will attend Capital University in Bexley. She has been awarded a $5,000 Governor’s Merit Scholarship; a $2,000 League of Women Voters Scholarship; a $500 Toledo Roadrunners Scholarship; a $20,000 Main Street Scholarship; an $8,000 Merit Scholarship; a $5,000 Comet Community Scholarship; a $1,250 Comet Scholars Award; and a $1,379 Living-Learning Tuition Grant.
Ella Koester will attend the University of Toledo, majoring in early childhood education. She received the Judith Herb full ride scholarship for four years, which is valued at approximately $100,000. She also received a $2,500 BGHS Class of 1978 Memorial Scholarship, a $2,000 BG Kiwanis Club Leonard and Margaret Davis Scholarship, and a $200 BGHS StuCrew Scholarship.
Mason Konesky, attending Purdue University as a Dean’s Scholar and member of the John Martinson Honors College, was awarded a renewable $3,000 scholarship from the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association.
Elena Kramer will attend the University of Toledo and major in health sciences. She received the Toledo Excellence Scholarship, $6,000; an Ohio First STEM Scholarship, $4,000; a Rocket Housing Grant, $2,000; and the Mary Jane Elsass Memorial Scholarship, $2,500.
Jocelyn Loe will be attending Bowling Green State University. She received a $5,000 University Freshman Academic Scholarship; a $3,000 STEM Choose Ohio First Student Success Program; and the $2,000 Bowling Green Women’s Club Beryl Parrish Scholarship.
Amber Manders will be attending Bowling Green State University. She was awarded the Thompson Working Family’s Scholarship for $5,500; John and Ruth Nye Scholarship for $6,000; and the Exchange Club of Bowling Green Scholarship for $1,000.
Evan Meyer will attend Bowling Green State University. He received an $8,000 University Freshman Academic Scholarship; a $5,000 Governor’s Merit Scholarship; and a $700 Darr/Segall Scholarship.
Addison Naus will be attending Wilmington College for Agribusiness. She has received a renewable $24,000 Campus Impact Leader Scholarship from Wilmington College, a $2,000 Sara J. Littleton P.E.O. Scholarship, a $1,000 Linda Snyder Memorial Scholarship, a $1,500 Bowling Green Community Foundation Scholarship, a $1,000 Local Drive scholarship made possible by the BG 4×4 fest, a $500 Wood County Farm Bureau scholarship, a $500 Wood County Republican Women’s Club scholarship, a $100 District 1 FFA scholarship, and a gold level BG FFA Scholarship.
Emma Thompson will be attending Ohio State University. She received a $1,000 Black Swamp Arts Festival Arts-Ancillary scholarship; a $1,000 Medical Mutual scholarship; and a $400 BGHS Faculty scholarship.
Baylie White has received direct admission into the BGSU nursing program. She received a $6,500 Merit Scholarship from BGSU, $4,000 Mr. and Mrs. William Block, Jr. Scholarship from GTCF, $3,000 Jamie Farr Scholarship from GTCF, $2,000 Byron and Nancy Firsdon Memorial Scholarship. $1,500 BG Rotary Club Edwin Miller Memorial Scholarship. $1,000 AmVets Post 711-Clyde Ducat Scholarship Fund, $1,000 Albert and Margaret Newlove Scholarship, $1,000 Wood County Hospital Foundation Scholarship and $1,000 Greater BG Area Real Estate Association Scholarship.
Zoe Ziems will attend Lourdes University. She received a $5,500 Lourdes Dean’s Scholarship, a $4,000 Lourdes Athletic Scholarship, and a $2,000 Lourdes Honors Scholarship.
