Huntingdon County Dairy Princess Macy Myers, center, helped present the grand champion and reserve champion milk, as well as a wagon of dairy items to the highest bidders during the Junior Livestock Sale at the Huntingdon County Fair Friday. Andy Harpster of Evergreen Farms purchased the grand champion milk with 18 pounds of butter and a handmade engraved serving tray full of whoopie pies for $1,550, Mike and Nate Mowrer of Mowrer Farms purchased the reserve champion milk with a with 18 pounds of butter and a handmade engraved serving tray full of whoopie pies for $1,220. The trunk, sponsored by the Pat and Cindy Lemin family of Mountain Supply and Repair Inc., contained dairy items and was purchased by Martin Oil Co. for $1,600. Funds raised through the auction of the items go to support the Huntingdon County Dairy Scholarship Program. This year’s recipients are Taylor Heeter, Madison Mowrer and Amelia Russell. Taking part in the presentation were, from the left, Norah Harpster, Avery Lake, Gabriella Harpster (behind) Teagan Harpster, Cindy Lemin, Juliette Harpster, Andy Harpster, supreme cow exhibitor Taylor Heeter, Myers, Karen Padula of Martin Oil, reserve supreme cow exhibitor Adria Russell, Mike Mowrer and Nate Mowrer.
