Big O Tires Surpasses $1 Million in Scholarships Awarded – aftermarketNews

Big O Tires, a subsidiary of TBC Corporation, announced that its Big O Tires Scholarship Fund has surpassed $1 million in total awards since its inception in 2003. Now in its 22nd year, the program has helped more than 450 students pursue higher education and achieve their personal and professional goals.
The Big O Tires Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to franchise owners, their immediate family members and employees, as well as Big O Tires corporate team members. The fund is made possible through generous donations from franchisees and Big O Tires, LLC. Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic performance, extracurricular involvement, financial need and other qualifications.
This year alone, the fund awarded $141,500 in scholarships to 47 students, according to Big O Tires.
“The scholarships we provide recognize students who are committed to learning, dedicated to hard work and focused on personal growth,” said Gary Skidmore, chief operating officer of Big O Tires. “We are proud to support these deserving students and appreciate our franchisees, whose ongoing support makes the Big O Tires scholarship fund possible.”
