Boca’s Ballroom Battle Breaks Records: $1.7 Million Raised for George Snow Scholarship Fund – The Boca Raton Tribune

Boca Raton, FL – September 24, 2025 — The 2025 Boca’s Ballroom Battle dazzled audiences and shattered fundraising records, raising an extraordinary $1.7 million in support of the George Snow Scholarship Fund. Hosted at The Boca Raton on Saturday, September 20th, the “British Invasion”–themed evening showcased the power of community generosity and the transformative impact of education.
Eight Community Dancers, known as ‘The Royal Collective’, spent the past five months training with professional instructors from Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Boca Raton while simultaneously leading ambitious fundraising campaigns. Their efforts culminated in unforgettable performances and record-breaking results that will help local students with financial need pursue higher education.
“I want to thank everyone who made this year’s Boca’s Ballroom Battle possible,” said Tim Snow, President of the George Snow Scholarship Fund. “The funds raised through this spectacular event are a reflection of the compassion and generosity of our community. Our Community Dancers, Alumni Dancers, Dance Professionals, Donors, Supporters, and Volunteers all play a vital role in this success. Together, we are opening doors to higher education for the future leaders of our community.”
This year’s fundraising champions are Michelle Hagerty, raising more than $375,000, and George M. Petrocelli, who set a new men’s division record with over $290,000.

Guests embraced the British Invasion theme with glamorous attire while dancers paid tribute to musical icons from across the decades.
Snow also extended special thanks to Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Boca Raton, noting: “We are grateful to studio owners James Brann and Sayra Vazquez, along with Professional Dancers Jan Clancy, Loreta Kriksciukaityte, and Sebastian Mankevich. Their dedication to training our Community Dancers and creating unforgettable routines adds immeasurable charm and impact to the event.”

The George Snow Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping deserving students in Palm Beach County and Broward County pursue their dreams of higher education. Since its inception in 1982, the Fund has provided thousands of scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need. The organization is committed to ensuring that no student is denied the opportunity to attend college due to financial constraints. In 2025, the George Snow Scholarship Fund awarded more than $5.5 million in scholarships and Scholar Support Services to 374 local students. In total, the Fund has awarded over $36 million in scholarships and scholar support services to 3,692 local students since 1982.
