GREENVILLE — The Greenville Business & Professional Women’s (BPW) Club March 13 meeting was hosted by the Scholarship Committee with Co-Chairs Sue Huston and Gina Wolfe and members Kim Davis, Tonya Keller, Tara Denniston and Alexia Sykes. The meeting was held at the Chestnut Village Center, Greenville. Thank you to the Montage Café of downtown Greenville who catered the meal for the evening.
The Scholarship Committee canvassed all eight Darke County high schools for applicants for the scholarship. Each of the finalists gave a presentation of their accomplishments and highlights through high school and shared their future goals. Huston introduced the finalists who were: Lydia Ayette and Reagan Brewer (Tri-Village), Zoey Burns, Shelby Gillespie, and Gabriella Stebbins (Greenville), Mackenzie Cantrell, Anna Stump (Arcanum), Erin Fredrick, Ella Porter, Ava Shardo (Versailles), Allison Muhlenkamp (Franklin Monroe), and Kaylin Richard (Bradford).
Club members chose the following scholarship winners Porter, Stebbins, Ayette, Muhlenkamp, Richard, Brewer, Cantrell and Stump. Congratulations to all those who participated!
The Club holds fundraisers throughout the year which includes their Annual Guest Night, Darke County Fair Parking and Chicken BBQ Dinners. The Club meets the second Thursday of every month September through June. The Greenville BPW mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education, and information.
