Ozark’s Women’s Association awards scholarships.

Ozark’s Women’s Association awards scholarships.
Two Branson High School graduates Addison Patrick and Sylvia Barbour have each been awarded $2,500 scholarships.
The Ozark Women’s Association (OWA) gave out the scholarships to support local young women pursuing higher education. The organization, founded in 2004, is made up of women dedicated to promoting lifelong education and personal growth.
“All the women of the OWA group are proud to be a small part of helping further education to the next generation of female Tri-Lakes graduating students,” said Paula Lee, incoming scholarship chair for Spring 2026.
The scholarship is open to graduating female students from area high schools in the Tri-Lakes region. The application process begins each spring, and students are encouraged to contact their high school counselors for more information. Helen Slagle and Sharon McSpadden co-led the OWA Scholarship Committee for this year’s awards.
OWA welcomes new members, especially younger women, as most current members are retired. Those interested in joining are encouraged to get involved and support the next generation of learners, according to Lee.
For more information about the 2026 OWA scholarship please contact your high school counselor.
