Building Hope Summit County is sponsoring five free scholarships for Rob Van Hyfte’s — the founder of Summit Mindfulness — six-week online mindfulness class.
Van Hyfte has worked with a variety of individuals and organizations in Summit County since 2015, including Building Hope, SOS Outreach, Summit High School, Frisco Elementary School, Ebert Family Clinic and the Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group.
Building Hope Summit County will offer five scholarships on a first come, first serve basis. In the classes, participants will learn strategies to help reduce stress and anxiety, increase concentration, increase empathy and optimism, increase self-confidence and increase productivity.
The format of the class will be as follows: :
Throughout the six-week class there will be email support, one email summary per week and a single, one-on-one call. On August 24, there will be an online retreat from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Classes are for adults 18 and older and there is a 20-person class limit.
To register for the class text or email Rob Van Hyfte at 720-300-1896 or ravh@summit-mindulness.com. Summit County residents will receive a discounted class price of $300.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
