CHEYENNE – Burns High School graduate Blair Sanchez is one of 10 Wyoming recipients of a $5,000 scholarship from the Kaiser Foundation.
The recipients were chosen on the basis of merit, with special consideration given to their academic, extracurricular and community service achievements, according to a news release. Financial need was strongly considered.
These scholarships can be renewed for an additional three years for those students who continue to meet academic standards, according to the release.
The Kaiser Foundation was founded by Curt Kaiser, founder of the Kaiser and Company, in 1986 and is headquartered in Cody. To date, the foundation has awarded more than $2.8 million in scholarships to students from high schools throughout Wyoming.
