The spring Picnic in the Park was held Friday on the grounds of Princeton City Hall.
The Caldwell Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual event as a fundraiser for scholarships they will be presenting to graduating seniors at the local high school in May.
Heather Riley with the chamber explains the number of scholarships they will be able to present will be determined by the amount of funds raised during the day. She added the lunch goes on in either rain or shine.

Clay Farless with Farmers Bank was in charge of grilling the burgers and hot dogs and noted he appreciated the bank providing the use of the grill and allowing him to be part of the day.

click to download audioRiley wanted to share the appreciation from the Chamber to the sponsors who provided supplies for the picnic. She stressed that with their help it allows more funds to be given to the scholarships.
