Student-athlete standout, Tyler Robertson of Fort Deposit, has been offered a scholarship by Austin Peay State University for fall of the 2025-2026 academic year.
In a press release issued Tuesday, the university said, “Their hard work and commitment to academic excellence has paid off, and APSU is excited to award them a scholarship.”
Robertson is a senior at The Calhoun School where he plays as a small forward and shooting guard for the Tigers’ basketball team. Currently, he leads the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Class 2A with 25.7 shooting points per game. Robertson is also ranked 5th in the state and 163rd nationally.
This season, Robertson has been named MaxPreps Player of the Game six times. He played football for the Tigers this year, too, serving as a leader in the quarterback and offensive linebacker position.
Robertson has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week twice and was elected Lowndes County Athlete of the Year for The Calhoun School in May 2024.
