Caltrans District 5 annual Employee Scholarship is accepting applications from graduating high school students who reside in District 5, which includes the counties of Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara.
Applications must be postmarked or emailed by Thursday, May 15.
Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are planning on pursuing a transportation-related career. Some careers include engineering, transportation planning, environmental planning, archaeology, land surveying, as well as mechanics, electricians, landscape architects, among others.
Scholarships will be awarded in June 2025.

This money is raised by Caltrans employees through snack and coffee sales at District 5 offices.
