COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Forestry Association Foundation (OFAF) concluded its annual Camp Canopy and presented certificates to campers on June 13, 2025, at Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum. This year, 95 campers attended, and eight college scholarships were awarded to campers pursuing a major within natural resources for a total of $7,250.Â
More than 65 industry professionals volunteered their time throughout the week to instruct the future foresters, wildlife specialists, and conservationists of Ohio. Many instructors have been helping with camp for decades because of their passion and drive to engage the next generation. Camp Canopy will be held June 14-19, 2026 at Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum.Â
OFAF is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity that hosts Camp Canopy, as well as many other educational programs offered to students throughout Ohio. By designing curriculum that incorporates adventure and education, the OFAF and Camp Canopy provide a comprehensive overview of the forestry and wildlife disciplines. A small group of dedicated individuals oversee camp activities and lessons to ensure campers receive the most engaging, educational experience possible. Founded in 1950 and formerly known as Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp, Camp Canopy is the place where high schoolers got to discover forestry, discover wildlife and discover adventure.
