Students from Simon Fraser University, York University, and Queens University were among the 40 recipients of ASHRAE’s 2025-26 scholarship program.
ASHRAE has awarded its 2025-26 Society scholarships to 40 recipients, including a total of $25,500 for four post-secondary students across Canada.
ASHRAE’s $12,500 Presidents Scholarship, the association’s largest bursary, was awarded to Simon Fraser University’s sustainable engineering and physics student Lona Le. Simon Fraser’s Jasleen Sandhu, part of the university’s sustainable engineering program, also received the $5,000 Lynn G. Bellenger Engineering Scholarship.
The $5,000 William P. Chapman Scholarship was awarded to Luna Malouf of York University’s mechanical engineering program, while Charles McEwen of Queens University’s engineering program received $3,000 from the Ottawa Valley Chapter Scholarship.
Overall, ASHRAE’s annual Society scholarships provided students with a total of $218,500 for the 2025-26 academic year. The full list of recipients are available online.
