The Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club celebrated the success of nine Canyon Lake students by awarding them with scholarships. Since 2017, the club has awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships.
The scholarships were awarded during a luncheon at the lakefront home of Joanne Stribling, 9ers Club treasure.

This year’s recipients are Emma Cole, Talan Denison, Nixon Lauritzen, Kaylin Kielty, Jenna Hoffman, Lucas Aberoni, Sawyer Lanouette, McKenzie Cassara, and Sebastian Stapleton.
Emma Cole is a Temescal Canyon High School student with a 4.3 GPA. She has received multiple academic and athletic honors throughout her high school years. She plans to major in nursing at the University of Central Arkansas.
Talan Denison is a Temescal Canyon High School student with a 3.8 GPA. He participated in the Engineering Academy. Denison will be attending Concord University.  
Temescal High School student Nixon Lauritzen has a 4.2 GPA. Lauritzen, who has signed with Grand Canyon University, won his third straight Ivy League championship in May. He was named IE Varsity Boys Golfer of the Year.
Kaylin Kielty graduated a year early from Temescal Canyon’s Keith McCarthy Academy with a 4.4 GPA. She is a freshman and a member of the tennis team at the University of Redlands.
Elsinore High School student Jenna Hoffman has a 4.3 GPA. She plans to major in biology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Elsinore High School student Lucas Aberoni has a 3.5 GPA. He plans to attend Hope University. He will be playing baseball and hopes to be drafted by a minor-league team.
Sawyer Lanouette, a Temescal Canyon High School student with a 4.3 GPA, plans to major in communications at the University of California, San Diego.
McKenzie Cassara, a Temescal Canyon High School student with a 4.0 GPA, will be majoring in English at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo.
Sebastian Stapleton, a Vista Murietta High School student with a 4.2, will be attending Mt. San Jacinto College. He plans to major in engineering.
