The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club awarded its 2024 scholarships to 10 Canyon Lake high school seniors who maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher and plan to continue their education. The recipients were honored for their achievements during the June 12 meeting of the Canyon Lake City Council.
Each student was required to submit a one-page essay on how they have been positively affected by living in Canyon Lake, how they have positively affected Canyon Lake, and what they have done to leave their footprint in the community.
The gold scholarship was awarded to Madalyn Rainey (Temescal Canyon High School). The silver scholarship was presented to Makaylyn Eden (Linfield Christian School). Emma Cole (Temescal Canyon High School) received the bronze scholarship.
Other recipients include McKenzie Cassara (Temescal Canyon High School), Taylor Fonseca (Paloma Valley High School), Alyssa Martin (Elsinore High School), Joie Murillo (Temescal Canyon High School), Natasha Warner (Linfield Christian School), Zackary Zander (Temescal Canyon), and Zane Zander (Temescal Canyon).
The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club is a nonprofit philanthropic club. Its mission is to provide students with scholarships, assist families in need, and provide safe playground equipment for area parks.
